BABY NAME CONTEST:

Okay, the votes are in and we have a winner! Robin Deanna K. has named Buffy and Giles' daughter Robin (after herself). You'll get her full name in the final book: The Family Business. I let her pick first, middle, and last names for the baby.

Thanks everyone who entered with your picks for favorite scene. Wasn't that the most transparent and shameless attempt to garner feedback? Sorry we could have only one winner. Maybe I should have given Buffy and Giles octuplets. LOL.

Many of you guessed the birth of the twins or one of the weddings. Several people guessed the kinky sex with handcuffs. (I know where your minds are). The winner guessed when they first found out they were having twins, which was only a page from the actually answer. The scene I was looking for was the Nintendo game with Dawn beating Willow at Dr. Mario while Xander was backseat game playing (right before Buffy and Giles came home after learning they were having twins). It really wasn't a fair contest, because I cut all the best parts (about a page and a half) from what you read. But it was *my* favorite scene, written purely for my friends here and especially my roommate. I cut most of it before posting because it was stuffed full of silly in-jokes and made up words that no one outside our insane little group would get. But they all enjoyed the Scoobies playing Dr. Mario like we do and talking trash. So that was *my* favorite scene, which I never would have expected anyone to guess. But Robin got the closest, page-wise, and gets to name the girl.

Okay, I thought I'd have a little fun with this. I have a name picked for the boy, but I'm stuck on the girl. So who wants to name Buffy and Giles' daughter?

Here are the rules. I'm thinking of a specific scene that I had the most fun writing. (A scene out of The Ticking Clock, all 6 parts so far) You write me and tell me what your favorite scene was. If you're the closest, page-wise at least, to my favorite, you get to name the baby. Name her after yourself, after a friend, give her some awful name for which I will have to justify their choice and find a decent nickname. You decide. This is going to be a trilogy, so the name will be in the next book as well. Contest ends when I post the final part, probably around the 23rd or the 24th.

Oh, and is this not the most transparent attempt at garnering feedback? :) I know. I'm shameless.
